I feel like I have learnt a lot through this process, mostly about Photoshop. although I have learnt other things like camera angles, camera techniques and the importance of things like mise-en-scene.

I updated this to make it my final piece, to do this I added a red outline which I felt stood out more rather than the black outline. (I have posted a step by step Photoshop on how to do this.) I also changed the colour of my logo on my new updated one to make it more visible.

I thought the full block red capitals were too much which is why I changed it.

This is my first front cover idea. However I plan on changing the model due to the fact my original model backed out last minute so this is just temporary. But apart from that this is what my final design is most likely to looks like.

Inspirations for photography

I am going to use one person for photographs therefore I'm going to base my photography on one of these which am yet to decide which one.

Tutorial 3

I wanted my 'star' to have stubble to I used an effect on photoshop. I didn't know how to do this before so I used a tutorial from youtube. 


I chose not to do this as it didn't go with my model.

Tutorial 2

Originally I wanted to use a fish eye effect on the image and as I didn't know how to do it, I decided to google it and find a couple of online tutorials and this is what I found and used to learn:

Although it seemed like a good idea at first I didn't like the end result

Typography

I am going to choose sans serif style fonts as I am doing a indie style magazine therefore it fits in with the conventions of it and theme.

These were my first set of photos. As you can see there aren't many and therefore not a good variety to choose from. Also the quality is not very good hence why I took more photos.

Tutorial 1

I decided to use a gradient for the background. I wasn't too sure how to do this either so I also googled that and found a useful tutorial on Youtube:
